The Minnesota LegalAdministrators Association (MLAA) celebrated the 30th Anniversary of its joining ALA with a celebration at Nicollet Island Pavilion and the annoucement that it is changing its name to ALAMN.

The MLAA Community Service team is challenging our members, business partners and others in the legal community to “Pack the Backpack” for as many children as possible for the 2010/2011 school year. Last year we collected 1,192 crayons, 1,380 pens and pencils and 13,860 sheets of paper. Can we double or maybe even triple that this year?

Please bring your supplies to the Anniversary party on July 29th, the monthly general meeting on August 10th, a Committee or SIG meeting in August or have them delivered to Merchant & Gould attn: Tracey Skjeveland (tskjeveland@merchantgould.com).

On July 14th and 22nd, ALAMN had approximately 50 members, business partners and guests participate in packaging meals for the Feed My Starving Children Organization.

Thank you to the following members and business partners who volunteered to prepare and serve a delicious meal at the men’s shelter operated by Simpson Housing on March 25. It was a great time!

The new job board, powered by career services leader JobTarget, can be found at www.mnparalegals.org. Access is available to MPA members.
